T here’s a Ferrari that’s been sitting half in (and half out) of the driveway, with a cover and an extension cord for the trickle charger.

Which leads to the question: what the hell is sitting inside this Beverly Hills garage, behind doors number 1, 2, and 3 ???

Based on the positioning of the covered Ferrari, it appears that door #3 could be in use. So I will slightly edit your very good guess:

1. 60s vintage Ferrari hardtop.

2. Jaguar e type

3. Prius

This is good Oppo.

(But if there were any DH, they’d probably have been dumped over the railing by the pool, down into the bushes, to be buried before sunrise )

Haha I was thinking more like 3 old Cadillacs with the backseats filled with coke and heroin, trunks full of dead hookers

This is an interesting twist on the track, daily, burn game.

I’m wondering why someone with a Ferrari and a Beverly Hills address doesn’t have his landscaping figured out.

Most of california has been under drought restrictions for the last 6 years. I am just shocked how much the landscaping has gone to pot.

It’s the Google Parking game — Garage, Street, or Driveway: Where wou ld you park it?

(With exceptions for Ferrari’s that are half-parked in the street, and other neighborhoods where the front lawn counts as a long-term parking spot )

Also, from my limited Googleing/web stalking, it looks to be an elderly persons home.

The house across the street is for sale for $6 million. (which is what started this rabbit-hole interwebs silliness)

Plot twist: there a re no cars in that garage and it’s all just overflowing with accumulated crap and chachkies.

That’s a pretty likely theory, though  the car cover and trickle-charger lead me to believe they would have preferred to have it indoors if at all possible.

Update: There is another three car garage directly across the street with a Ferrari parked outside.  Not surprising for Beverly Hills, but this is my new favorite cul-de-sac.

That’s been true for us in North Texas for several years. Of course, there are variations of severity in drought.

The problem we have is that so many people are transplanted from up North that everyone wants the standard lawn in front of the house. They have more drought tolerant strains, but really what they want to do is get more people to adopt xeriscaping ideas using more native plants.

SoCal is natural desert, so I’m sure similar problems apply. I just thought that someone who owns a car like that and a house like that might have just a little left  to care for a bit of shrubbery. But everyone has his priorities.

There are still high end areas in southern california that ignore the water restrictions and are probably paying $ 1,000/month for volume rate plus overuse fines.

Lol, people here are obsessive over their lawns. Plus, Brown lifted the emergency restrictions before he left.

That yard looks like shit because they’re spending too much on their house and cars in order to afford it.

I tell people to use as much water as possible so when there are mandatory reductions they have something to reduce from. Santa Cruz is at 55 gal/day, it’s really hard  to reduce use anymore than that unless you forgo drinking water and flushing #2.

Haha yeah pretty much. I'm pissed that I'm still being penalized because everyone else uses too much water. I've always had low flow everything, and I'm super conscious of my water use, yet the city just keeps upping the rates because everyone needs to keep those fat ass salaries and pensions. It's horseshit.

It’s a catch 22, use less water, get less revenue from selling water, then raise rates to cover lost revenue, then customer uses less water because it’s expensive... it never ends.

Maybe paying by how much you need is broken? Maybe, at least for low use users like myself, they can just charge a flat fee and then charge more for heavy users?

I don’t know. I just know it’s annoying to be one of the few people in this state who actively tries to save water and I keep getting punished.
